Half Full
Recently, I had a candidate who would get really excited about an opportunity but then the very next day it would be inevitable that he would contact me with something negative - or what I call "stinkin' thinkin'." In other words, instead of seeing the glass as half full, he saw it as half empty.
As a certified franchise consultant, I help my candidates filter through various elements of franchises being considered to come up with the best option for their goals, lifestyle and budget, etc.
Most people who come to me for help with their franchise search dream of being their own boss and of all the glorious benefits of being a franchise owner. Then reality sets in as they realize franchise ownership isn’t perfect and there is actually work involved – a lot of work. Entrepreneurs have a different mindset, and they realize nothing in this world is perfect, so they focus on the glass being half full versus half empty.
For those who see the glass half empty, they typically go back to their W2 jobs or 1099 commission jobs and continue to complain to their co-workers and family members about what's wrong with the "system" at work and how they wish they could escape. If the truth be told, the only escape they need is from their own mindset of "stinkin' thinkin'"! Let's talk...
